The Story

Introducing our latest collection: the Bloom Series. Designed to be both versatile and heavy-duty, these fabric scissors are ideal for a wide range of everyday projects. They feature a blunted tip for added safety, and have handles made from recycled plastic. Each pair also features a unique flower engraving that reflects one of our values—both as a business and as individuals.

The blue colourway features blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium montanum), a resilient wildflower that thrives in a wide range of environments. Its adaptability is something we continue to strive for as a business, as we design tools meant to support makers across many different crafts and materials.

MATERIALS:

Crafted from industrial stainless steel, the lightweight handle makes these our lightest pair of fabric scissors.

DESIGN:
The blades are designed with blunted tips. The lightweight handle hugs your hand comfortably for quick precise cuts.

RECOMMENDED USE:
They're designed for general sewing and crafting. They're great to use with knitting, crochet, macrame, weaving, embroidery, and light to medium weight fabric trimming.

MAINTENANCE TIPS:
Wipe down the blades and lubricate with oil once a month.

 

Our Story

In 1990, LDH Scissors was founded in Shenzhen, just outside of Hong Kong, by a young couple who simply needed better quality sewing scissors. Built with Love, Dedication and Happiness, the company has been serving the sewing community ever since. Fast forward to 2018, their son Roy and his wife Ursula have brought the company to Toronto, Canada, bringing with them the same Love, Dedication and Happiness that made it all possible. Our scissors are designed in Toronto, Canada and have been crafted since 1990 in our family's factories in China. LDH Scissors is also proud to be immigrant-, female-, and family-owned!
